Special Education Teacher

Intervention Teacher

PCA Certified Paraprofessional

Naytahwaush Community Charter School is searching for a PCA certified paraprofessional to work with a kindergarten student. Paraprofessionals

Naytahwaush Community Charter School is seeking both general education and special education paraprofessionals.  We are a small close knit community with small class sizes, serving grades K-6. 

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, 2-year degree preferred

Duties include working directly with children, assisting teachers, recess duty, working with children with learning disabilities and other duties as assigned. 

NCCS believes in "growing our own teachers" and encourages applicants to apply who have an interest in pursuing teaching as a career. If you already have a four year degree we will assist you with getting a Tier I teaching license.

Starting wage is $17 per hour

School Counselor/Social Worker

Naytahwaush Community Charter School is located in the beautiful lakes area north of Detroit Lakes, MN. Outdoor activities are abundant year round! The community is close knit and supportive of education. We are a stable K-6 charter school existence for seventeen years, with great kids, amazing staff and competitive pay. We are seeking a School Counselor or Therapist/Social Worker for the 2024-25 school year. Please consider joining our team!

General Duties:

  • Work with current School Counselor/Therapist to provide an array of services such as:

  • Career exploration for students 4-6

  • Individual therapy/counseling sessions

  • Social/Emotional skill groups K-6

  • Classroom Social/Emotional lessons

  • Support Special Education teachers with social/emotional IEP goals

  • Work with home/school liaison to build strong relationships with families

  • Assist with 6th grade transition to 7th grade

  • Serve on Student Support Team (our child find team which provides support to teachers with special education referrals.)

Qualifications:

  • MN School Counselor certification, licensed social worker, or licensed therapist.

  • Experience with Native American students preferred, but not required.

  • Strong philosophy that every child is unique and can succeed.

  • Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students and families.

  • Flexible team player mentality required.

  • Strong work ethic with commitment to excellent attendance.

  • Excellent skills and ability to work closely with current School Counselor/Therapist.

Salary dependent on PT or FT, license and experience. Base teaching salary is $46,680 plus benefits.

NCCS is seeking substitute teachers.  We pay $200 a day! Applicants need to have a MN Short Call Substitute License.
